PARTS WARRANTY

Worldwide Diesel warranties its Parts for warranty period-parts only. Warranty begins on the date of the invoice.

  1. If there is a warrantable item, please contact Worldwide Diesel, before any repairs are made. Any repairs made without Worldwide Diesel’s consent, will not be paid.
  2. Warranty does not include Removal or Installation of parts or fluids, belts, hoses, etc.
  3. Worldwide Diesel is not responsible for “downtime”, labor, towing, or any other consequences resulting from any warrantable product.
  4. Worldwide Diesel is not responsible for the following.
  • Installer errors
  • Lack of lubrication
  • Driver abuse
  • Overloading
  • Faulty external parts related to engine, including but not limited to radiator, distributor, fuel system, hoses, etc.
  • Improper application
  • Lack of proper maintenance
  • Tampering with sealed adjustments without consent from Worldwide Diesel
  • Any engines ran without doing Overhead
  • Any engines ran without proper timing first.
  1. If part fails within the warranty period, restrictions apply:
  • Worldwide Diesel will determine if part can be fixed.
  • Worldwide Diesel has the option to replace part with like part.
  • Refund may be prorated, depending on date of purchase and condition of engine.
  • Verification of part Limited Warranty. When performing limited repairs, it is the Vehicle Owners/Customers/Buyers’ responsibility to establish that the engine is in limited warranty and to file a claim. Until defect in Worldwide Diesel workmanship has been determined, all costs of diagnostics and/or repairs are the responsibility of the vehicle owner. Approval and reimbursement for the time spent on warranty work is subject to Worldwide Diesel receipt of a defective product and repair order. Product should be shipped to the instructed address by the warranty staff.
  1. All cores must be returned within (thirty) 30 days for full core credit.
  2. Miles are recorded from the odometer. Miles may not necessarily reflect ECM miles as we do not read the ECM.
  3. Customer agrees to pay any legal fees incurred by Worldwide Diesel from any claims that may arise.
  4. Customer/Buyer agrees all Claims are limited to the max amount of the Original Purchased price on Invoice minus thirty percent, Claims made will result in the return of the whole defective or non-conforming goods.
  5. Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan. Seller and/or Buyer shall bring and/or initiate any claims, disputes and/or other legal proceedings respecting the Purchase Order and/or Goods in the state or federal courts of Berrien County, Michigan, which such court shall have sole and exclusive venue and jurisdiction over any such claims, disputes and/or other legal proceedings.
  6. Limitations: In accordance with Michigan Code Section MCL 440.2725, any claim, cause of action or proceeding relating to this Purchase and/or the Goods must be commenced within one (1) year from the date upon which any such claim or cause of action has accrued.
  7. Warranty is limited; no attached parts, seals, gaskets or any other parts are covered in the warranty. We do not warrant against oil consumption, fuel consumption, leaks or blow by. It is the vehicle owner/customer/buyer’s responsibility to return warranty product to Worldwide Diesel. We will determine if product is defective and will repair, replace or refund vehicle owner/customer/buyer for defective item at our discretion.
  8. All OEM Manufacturer warranties shall supersede this Worldwide Diesel warranty.
  9. Worldwide Diesel does not guarantee miles on engines. Miles are approximate and are what was given when engine was purchased from vendor/supplier. This does not take into accountability that engine may have been rebuilt or may have a different ECM than what came with the engine.
  10. Worldwide Diesel is not responsible for any damage incurred by a third-party carrier. If damage is not immediately noted on the bill of landing at time of delivery, and the third-party carrier notified at the time of delivery, no refund or compensation will be made.
  11. All core must be fully assembled with no visible holes or cracks in block, unless previously stated and approved.
  12. If third-party carrier requests core return be crated prior to shipping it will be the responsibility of purchaser/buyer.
  13. Warranty does not cover external accessories like fuel pumps, water pumps, compressors or any other accessories we left on the engine.
  14. OIL & COOLANT MUST BE DRAINED! A $250.00 ENVIRONMENTAL FEE WILL BE CHARGED FOR ANY CORE THAT IS RETURNED UNDRAINED.
  15. EPA Regulations and Acknowledgements: Buyer acknowledges and understands that unless expressly stated otherwise by Worldwide Diesel, the engines purchased are not compliant with current U.S., Canadian, EU or [other] engine emissions regulations and therefore Buyer purchases the engine as-is with no expressed or implied warranties, assumes the complete risk associated with the engines and agrees to release, defend, indemnify, and hold Seller harmless from a breach of this covenant or any liability whatsoever associated with the engines. These acknowledgements, covenants, releases and indemnities shall survive the sale and continue into perpetuity. All manufacturers’ names, logos or trademarks are for reference purposes only. Worldwide Diesel is not in any way affiliated, sponsored or associated with these manufacturers. Pictures provided are for Illustration Purpose only and are a representation of item offered for sale.
  16. DISCLAIMER: EXCEPT AS MAY OTHERWISE BE CONTAINED IN THIS PURCHASE ORDER, SELLER MAKES NO EXPRESS WARRANTY WHATSOEVER RELATING TO THE GOODS. SELLER MAKES NO IMPLIED WATTANTY OF MERCHANT ABILITY OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE AS TO THE GOODS WHICH BUYER IS ACQUIRING FROM SELLER HEREBY. SELLER IS SELLING AND DELIVERING THE GOODS TO BUYER “AS IS’ AND NOT SUBJECT TO ANY EXPRESS AND/OR IMPLIED WARRANTY
  17. EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES: SELLER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO BUYER AND/OR SUCCESSOR AND/OR ASSIGN OF BUYER FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. BUYER’S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY RELATING TO THE GOODS SHALL BE LIMITED SOLELY TO EITHER SELLER’S RETURN OF THE PURCHASE AMOUNT UPON SELLER’S RETURN OF THE NON-CONFORMING GOODS OR SELLER’S REPAIR, CORRECTION AND/OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY OF THE GOODS WHICH ARE DEFECTIVE AND/OR NON-CONFORMING.
  18. By purchasing, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions.

ENGINE WARRANTY

Worldwide Diesel warranties its engines for warranty period-parts only. Warranty begins on the date of the invoice.

  2. All Engines with warranties must be registered within 20 days from date of shipment from us or one of our vendors. To register your engine, send a completed Worldwide Diesel Warranty Registration Card and a copy of the repair order or receipt of installation record to support@worldwidediesel.com or Fax to 269-462-9373. This can also include a shop ticket or record for fleet companies. If this product is inventoried or “unused” for 6 (six) months or more, we may, at our election, void the limited warranty.
  3. Warranty does not include Removal or Installation of engine or fluids, belts, hoses, etc.

In both instances, no attached parts, seals, gaskets or any other parts are covered in the warranty. We do not warrant against oil consumption, fuel consumption, leaks or blow by. It is the vehicle owner/customer/buyer’s responsibility to return warranty product to Worldwide Diesel. We will determine if product is defective and will repair, replace or refund owner/customer/buyer for defective item at our discretion. All OEM Manufacturer warranties shall supersede this Worldwide Diesel warranty.

  9. Worldwide Diesel is not responsible for any damage incurred by a third-party carrier. If damage is not immediately noted on the bill of lading at time of delivery, and the third-party carrier notified at the time of delivery, no refund or compensation will be made.
  10. Warranty Void if any of the following occur: the engine is used in any way not intended, the engine is programmed outside of manufacturer specifications, the engine is not properly broke-in, the engine is ran without oil and/or all proper fluids, the engine is overheated, the engine is Deleted in any way included but not limited to the EGR, DPF and/or the DEF removed, deleted, unused or rendered un operable.
  11. All cores must be fully assembled with no visible holes or cracks in block, unless previously stated and approved.Attached is a list of deductions that will be made by the Company for damages to the core engine that was returned.
  12. All core engines returned disassembled with be charged a minimum fee of $300.00. Worldwide Diesel has the right to deduct for any missing parts on a core engine, missing parts are parts that were received on purchased engine but not returned on core. Customer/Buyer can swap parts if needed but must reassemble to core engine prior to returning.
  13. If third-party carrier requests core engine return be crated prior to shipping it will be the responsibility of purchaser/buyer.
  14. Warranty does not cover external accessories like fuel pumps, water pumps, compressors, or any other accessories we left on the engine. Parts on Engine could/may have been replaced with aftermarket non-OEM parts.
  15. Worldwide Diesel recommends that you change the crankshaft bearings, rod bearings and the front & rear crankshaft main seals. Any incident or damage arising from failure to follow these recommended practices will release Worldwide Diesel from any liability.
  16. OIL & COOLANT MUST BE DRAINED! A $250.00 ENVIRONMENTAL FEE WILL BE CHARGED FOR ANY CORE THAT IS RETURNED UNDRAINED.
  17. OVERHAUL ENGINE WARRANTY

  6. Worldwide Diesel Warranty is limited to block, head and crankshaft. The exception being CAT engines where only the block and crankshaft are covered. In both instances, no attached parts, seals, gaskets or any other parts are covered in the warranty. We do not warrant against oil consumption, fuel consumption, leaks or blow by.
  7. Worldwide Diesel Rebuilt Engine Details/Definition: Rebuilt Engines are cleaned, disassembled, and inspected. The Cylinder Block and Cylinder Head are taken to a Machine Shop where Technicians magnaflux, pressure tested, deck and replace the main components of each item. The Crankshaft and Camshafts are cleaned, polished, and checked for straightness. Injectors are cleaned, inspected, and rebuilt. Once the main components are returned from the Machine shop, they are reassembled with an aftermarket out of frame rebuild kit. New aftermarket oil pumps and water pumps are installed, all other parts are visually inspected and if they are in workable condition they are reused. After the engine is completely assembled it is painted. 
  8. Workmanship is covered by warranty for 6 months By Re-builder. Any warranty work to be done at location of rebuilder. Customer is responsible for all shipping charges. Any rebuilds must have a re-build able block, head, crankshaft, and camshaft. It is the vehicle owner/customer/buyer’s responsibility to return warranty product to Worldwide Diesel. We will determine if product is defective and will repair, replace or refund owner/customer/buyer for defective item at our discretion.
  9. Installer/Customer Must contact Re-Builder to Start/Break in the Engine PRIOR to starting the rebuilt engine. Install instructions may be different depending on make/model.
  10. All OEM Manufacturer warranties shall supersede Worldwide Diesel’s warranty.
  11. Warranty is Void if any of the following occur: the engine is used in any way not intended, the engine is programmed outside of manufacturer specifications, the engine is not properly broke-in, the engine is Deleted in any way including but not limited to the EGR, DPF and/or the DEF being removed, deleted, unused or rendered un-operable.
  12. Worldwide Diesel is not responsible for any damage incurred by a third-party carrier. If damage is not immediately noted on the bill of lading at time of delivery, and the third-party carrier notified at the time of delivery, no refund or compensation will be made.

BUYER’S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY RELATING TO THE GOODS SHALL BE LIMITED SOLELY TO EITHER SELLER’S RETURN OF THE PURCHASE AMOUNT UPON SELLER’S RETURN OF THE NON-CONFORMING GOODS OR SELLER’S REPAIR, CORRECTION AND/OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY OF THE GOODS WHICH ARE DEFECTIVE AND/OR NON-CONFORMING
  21. By Purchasing, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions.

Core Return Deductions

All core returns must be fully assembled with no visible holes or cracks in block, unless previously stated and approved. All core engines returned disassembled will be charged a minimum fee of $300.00. Worldwide Diesel has the right to deduct for any missing parts on a core engine, missing parts are parts that were received on purchased engine but not returned on core. Customer/Buyer has the ability to swap parts if preferred but must reassemble to core engine prior to returning. Core return deductions are as follows:

Deduction for missing Alternator -$200.00

Deduction for missing AC Compressor -$200.00

Deduction for missing Air Compressor -$200.00

Deduction missing Cylinder Head -$1000.00

Deduction for missing Fuel Injector- per Injector $100.00

Deduction for missing Pushrods -$300.00

Deduction for missing Rockers -$300.00

Deduction for Non-turning Core -$1000.00

Deduction for hole in the Cylinder Block -$1000.00

Deduction for missing Air Compressor -$150.00

Deduction for missing ECM -$500.00

Deduction for missing Fan Hub -$300.00

Deduction for missing Flywheel -$300.00

Deduction for missing Flywheel Housing -$350.00

Customer will have 10 business days to return any items missing from core return, at that time it will be the customers responsible for shipping and the refund for the missing part will be returned at a discounted rate of 70% for processing and handling.
